Features
This product is a polished spherical lens made of optical glass, fused quartz, sapphire or other optical materials. It has high transmittance and is used for lasers with anti-reflection coating. Widely used for coupling light into and out of optical fibers. It has the advantages of ease of fabrication and light weight and can be considered an ideal component for optical communication applications.
Although the coupling efficiency is low due to spherical aberration, its unique easy packaging properties ensure that ball lenses are undoubtedly suitable for mass production of optical communication applications, especially with aspheric lenses.
What can Bote Optics provide?
Bote Optics provides you with various specifications of ball and hemispheric lenses; in addition to optical glass, we can also provide fused silica-based ball/hemispheric lenses with excellent UV and IR transmittance between 185nm and 2100nm, please See its transmission curve for details. Sapphire ball lenses are also available to custom specifications and are available in a variety of diameters.
